Once the purchased tea arrives at the Tapal warehouse, the tea tasters again perform the organoleptic tasting of samples drawn from the various lots. Then these samples are transformed into the various blends such as Danedar, Family Mixture, Mezban Dust etc.

Blending – the experts selection
Artistically mixing assorted tea varieties in a mechanical drum is called blending. The aim of blending is to obtain consistent quality to meet the global consumers’ taste.

Blending is usually carried out immediately before the retail packaging to keep the quality and freshness intact.

The blend recipes are tasted several times for their quality consistency and compared against previous batches.

Research & Development (R&D)- the innovators
Tapal tea tasters analyze and evaluate all the blends to ensure quality and consistency. Active R&D takes place in the tea room inline with the feedback received from consumers and the Tapal team. Various blend recipes are developed with the combination of different grades and samples are sent out for research. On a positive consumer feedback, the recipes are locked as blends.

Ice Tea (Ready To Drink)- the new wave
When the need of a cold tea beverage was recognized, the tea experts at Tapal decided to develop a Ready-to-Drink Ice Tea. They combined it with the delicious summer flavors of Peach and Lemon & Lime.

Extensive research was carried out until the recipe was perfected. The company went overseas to get the Ice Tea packed in attractive cans of 320 ml to appeal to a youthful segment of the population.

Instant Ice Tea (Powder)- the breakthrough
With the success of Ice Tea in cans, Tapal once again decided to innovate and convert Peach and Lemon & Lime Ice Tea into powder form for the mass market. This is now readily available in portable and affordable sachets.

Instea (Premix 3-IN-1)- the everyday treat
Keeping in mind the consumers’ demand for convenience, Tapal Tea also developed INSTEA, a perfect premixed product. All that is needed is hot water, since the mix already contains tea, sugar and tea whitener to create a perfect cup of tea on the go!
